Position Overview:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, you will be an essential part of our pharmacy team, driving our mission and showcasing authentic care for each patient.

In this role, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will significantly contribute to a safe and efficient Retail Pharmacy environment, ensuring high-quality care for every patient. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Patient Safety
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice
  • Regulatory Requirements
  • Quality Assurance
  • Customer Service
  • Inventory Management
  • Workflow Management (excluding final prescription verification)

Key Responsibilities:

As a pharmacy intern, you will focus on keeping our customers and patients healthy through active participation in patient care programs. Additionally, you will:

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently accepted or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Must hold or be in the process of obtaining a valid intern and/or technician licensure, as required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to complete all required training within state regulations and timely manner.
  • Capability to:
    • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
    • Remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
    • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, scanning, and bagging items.
    • Demonstrate precise finger dexterity for various tasks.
    • Reach overhead and engage in bending to handle items effectively.
    • Exhibit close visual acuity for reading and inspecting small components.
    • Communicate orally with clarity to colleagues and patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eligible for immunization certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Aim to provide patient immunizations once state regulations allow, as it is a vital pharmacist function.

Compensation:
The typical pay range for this role is between $18.00 and $42.00 per hour.
