Traveling Electrical Superintendent

Location: Kingsport, TN Area

Seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee and coordinate industrial construction projects in sectors such as pulp & paper, chemical, and heavy industrial. This role supports the assigned Project Manager or Site Leader, ensuring quality execution, cost control, and efficient project delivery.

*Will be starting on a short-term project in Mt. Holly, NV Area to ensure electrical portion meets standards & complete project close out. Once project is completed long term projects will be based within a 50mile radius of Kingsport, TN.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise foremen, journeymen, and administrative staff on job sites
• Review electrical engineering packages for constructability and maintain drawing files
• Develop construction plans, material takeoffs, and requisitions
• Manage direct-hire craft labor and coordinate contractors on-site
• Monitor job progress, labor productivity, material procurement, and scheduling input
• Interface directly with owners, engineers, and internal stakeholders
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance (10/30 preferred)
• Support project documentation, punch list, and turnover efforts
• Provide leadership in estimating, change management, and cost control

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industrial construction management experience required
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Skilled in reading construction specs, interpreting engineering plans, and using Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with estimating, scheduling, and supervising large construction teams
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
