This role is based in Johnson City, TN and offers a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will manage various project aspects, from planning and implementation to monitoring engineering programs aimed at transforming market insights into leading-edge, reliable water heating solutions.Salary: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per yearEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, implement, and oversee the complete project lifecycle for advancements in tankless water heater designs, considering both mechanical and manufacturing requirements. Maintain up-to-date and detailed project documentation as the central reference point throughout project phases. Collaborate closely with marketing and management teams during Project Identification meetings to define precise project specifications and scope. Drive the strategic planning and execution of engineering programs using the Project Management System to align with project objectives meticulously. Ensure smooth coordination across departments, gathering inputs and communicating project activities and advancements through regular reviews and reporting. Conduct thorough reviews of product designs to confirm alignment with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and compliance needs. Proactively address and resolve any technical, scheduling, or test issues that could impact project timelines or outcomes. Assess and advocate for design modifications and specification alterations to optimize product functionality and manufacturability. Generate and oversee project budget estimates, managing expenditures to stay within financial constraints. Provide professional development support and technical guidance to junior Engineers and Technicians.Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field. At least 3 years of proven experience in engineering project management, preferably within the tankless water heater industry. Specific experience in the design and functional improvement of gas-powered tankless water heaters. Demonstrated ability to apply strong mathematical and analytical skills to complex engineering challenges. Well-versed in interpreting scientific and technical documentation. Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or related disciplines. Professional engineering certification or project management certification. Prior leadership experience in an engineering capacity. Experience with cross-functional project management and stakeholder engagement.Skills: Robust problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach. Strong command over project management software and MS Office Suite. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with abilities to coordinate across departmental lines.
