Job Summary:
The Bridge Skilled Laborer is an essential asset to the bridge crew. The Bridge Crew Laborer performs a wide range of tasks including placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete in a safe and efficient manner and according to federal and state heavy highway regulations. This position requires performing work at heights up to 60ft, requiring employees to climb ladders and scaffolding.
Job Duties:
• Experienced with riding trowel machines and techniques/methods of finishing flat and super-flat floors.
• Ability to work off shift hours and overtime as required.
• Smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, slabs, elevated slabs, and sitework.
• Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
• Finishes concrete surfaces using power trowel; rub and patch concrete.
• Loads, transports, and unloads tools, equipment, and supplies required for each project.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities with tools and equipment.
• Can work in a high production environment with safety top of mind.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
