You will be a Senior Armorer for our team, responsible for ensuring that all weapons are fully mission capable prior to issue and performing a variety of maintenance and modification tasks on small arms systems. What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior Armorer, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing rebuilding, fine-tuning, and testing of weapons, as well as conducting opening, closing, and transfer of accountability procedures for Armory, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) facilities. You will work closely with our team to perform operator through sustainment level maintenance on a variety of small arms systems, including rifles, pistols, grenade launchers, and other assorted systems.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

•Ensure weapons are fully mission capable prior to issue
•Coordinate and perform rebuilding, fine-tuning, and testing of weapons
•Conduct opening, closing, and transfer of accountability procedures for AA&E facilities
•Perform duties normally associated with a US Army unit level Armorer
•Ensure the security and accountability of weapons and accessories
•Perform operator through sustainment level maintenance on small arms systems
•Perform basic weapon modifications, including vehicle mounting systems and attachment of scopes/night sights
•Assist with tracking all weapons, lasers, and night vision devices, as well as modifications and historical trends
•Maintain proficiency up to and including depot level maintenance of all equipment, tools, and accessories
•Perform detailed assembly, disassembly, and test fire procedures of foreign and domestic small arms weapons
•Perform inspection, cleaning, servicing, preserving, lubricating, and adjustment of small arms systems
•Maintain records for issued, stored, and turned-in items
•Provide instruction on the assembly, disassembly, functions, and maintenance of small arms systems
•Provide initial weapons maintenance training and support for unit weapons during live fire ranges
•Provide technical support and assist in the research and development of weapons-related matters
•Possess a comprehensive knowledge of weapons design and function, as well as other factors affecting general ballistic capabilities of assigned weapons

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

Must be familiar with Army Regulation 190-11 and use of Technical Manuals for applicable weapon systems.

Must have a Secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $103,700 - $179,860. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
