We are looking for a qualified Traffic Coordinator for our Greeneville, Tennessee facility.

Under general direction, Responsible for coordinating with major customers in order to ensure proper processing of all purchase orders and other customer requirements. Will work with all required departments for successful shipping procedures to ensure product delivery to customers.

  1. Identify open orders with customers.
  2. Print the Bill of Lading as well as other labels that are needed.
  3. Verify Bill of Ladings and match them with the correct purchase orders.
  4. Process all dot com drop ship customers and match pack list with order.
  5. Check inventory availability against purchase order requests to ensure desired products are available for shipment.
  6. Coordinate with the necessary departments to ensure product availability as needed.
  7. Meet all Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) requirements of all customers within the required time frame. (may require overtime to meet deadlines)
  8. Through the use of the "Edit" system, clear the necessary items once shipments have been accepted by customers.
  9. Coordinate with outside carriers to ensure correct shipping dates, quantity, etc.
  10. Finalize Bill of Ladings and scan into the system for accounting for invoice processing
  11. Work with customer service as well as clients if there are any unusual requests that need to be fulfilled.
  12. Key shipment information into spreadsheets and databases.
  13. Use customer portals as needed.
  14. Coordinate with other departments to help get shipping and receiving activities completed.
  15. Participate in training as required.
  16. Follow all safety standards and wear all safety equipment as required
  17. All other duties as assigned


Requirements

Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.


Skills and Abilities

This position requires an overall knowledge of shipping/receiving functions in regards to Bill of Ladings, customer requirements, inventory, and final shipping. Incumbents of this position must understand the link between successful job completion and corporate strategy.

Personal characteristics:
  • Great communication skills.
  • Great computer skills in order to meet ASN requirements, construct spreadsheets, and maintain other departmental documents.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative.
  • Capable of handling numerous tasks at once.
  • Requires exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
