POSITION TITLE: Kitchen Aide/Van Driver for Meals on Wheels
PAY/HOURS: $12.50/hr, 37.5 hrs weekly, 5:30am - 1:00pm Monday -Friday
REPORTS TO: Kitchen Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for accurately packing homebound meals and transporting congregate meals to assigned delivery stations. Kitchen duties include: assisting in cleaning kitchen, cookware and pans, sweeping and mopping. Physical demands include stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying bulk food and cases up to 50 pounds. The working environment is warm and humid with sudden temperature changes, slippery floors, and moving parts and sharp edges of commercial kitchen equipment. Loading vans in all weather conditions. Operates van in a safe and efficient manner. Completes accurate paperwork and is exposed to all types of driving conditions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives routes as assigned and pack meals accurately.
- Assist with any basic food preparation as needed in a safe, sanitary manner.
- Follow instructions on paperwork and complete daily paperwork accurately.
- Sweeping and mopping part of daily tasks.
- Assist with stocking and cleaning of kitchen and lounge area.
- Must work cooperatively and harmoniously with all co-workers and appropriate staff.
- Abide by FTHRA rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Must be able to read and follow instructions. Reliability and accuracy is a must. Must be able and confident driving an extended cargo van or similar vehicle. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
