**Description**

General Shale, Inc., the nations leading manufacturer of clay brick products, is seeking a Traveling Laborer/Painter based out of Johnson City, TN. The applicant must be reliable, able to work 40 hours a week, and capable of working independently. Additionally, the applicant must be comfortable with travel as most weeknights will be spent away from home. This is a full-time position Monday Friday with the rare potential for weekends. Training will be provided if the applicant is not experienced in brick color correction.

**Duties:**

* Manage your time to complete jobs in the most efficient manner

* Effectively communicate with sales representatives and Engineering on job progress

* Fill and ship requests for stain

* Assist plant personnel with various tasks as required

* Maintain company vehicle and equipment

**Experience:**

* 1-3 years light construction and/or exterior painting experience preferred

**Job Requirements:**

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Valid drivers license (no suspensions)

* Written and verbal communication skills

* Must be comfortable with ladder work (up to 40 feet)

**Physical Demands:**

* Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and bending.

* Must be capable of lifting up to 85 lbs.
