The Dos and Don'ts of Johnson City Job Interviews

If you have reached the interview stage, then you have been doing everything right so far. But this is a critical step, and when you are interviewing for Johnson City jobs, there are many things that can go wrong. Here are some things you should do, and some things you need to avoid, that will help you land that position.

1. Do practice before interviewing: practicing for a job interview is fairly laborious, but is worth the effort. Working on your delivery, anticipating questions, and perfecting your tone can only help. Your friends will be eager to help, so seek them out.

2. Do not interrupt your interviewer: interviewers can do a lot of talking, and what they have to say (particularly regarding the company) can be important and informative. You would do well to listen more than you speak, and you don’t want to come across as rude or desperate.

3. Do ask questions: the question and answer process is a two way street in the job interview. So feel free to ask away; it shows engagement.

4. Don’t lie honesty is always the best policy in the job interview. If you don’t know an answer to a question, it is always better to admit your ignorance than to make something up on the fly. Kind of an obvious one.
